Melville, former University of Utah ski coach, succeeds attorney William Nagel, San Mateo, Calif., who resigned for health reasons. Earl D. Walters, president of the U.S. Ski Association, said Melville'a main responsibilities would be to make and execute policy for the nation's ski team and so development program. "We are particularly pleased to obtain the services of Melville," Walters said. "He is one of the finest ski competition minds in our country." Melville was a member of the 1956 and 1960 U.S. Olympic alpine teams. He presently is a member of the International Downhill Skiing Federations a&d Slalom Committee. |
