Cel. W. B. Barker as command- senH a - WEST MOUNTAIN A West Mountain couple attended the annual Utah Valley Chapter Christmas prty of the League of Utah Writrrs. The event was held st the home of Mr. and M's. Dee Tavlor of Provo. Following the buffet dinner games were played and officers were elected. Mrs Rothe is a member of the nominating committee. Officeri will be announced at a later date. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Christian sen have moved to West Moun- tain. Mr. and Mrs. Robert P. Finch, .Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Finch and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Payne traveled to Manti this week io particpate in the annual Manti LDS Temple Christmas social for temple workers. The Finch families, a!ong with Mr. Payne, sang Christmas carols. Later Mr. Payne played selections on the organ. The group enjoyed dinner before the event ended. completely decorated Christmas tre to the family of Mrs. Iva Nay. The tree was decorated with hand - made items, including strands of popcorn, rookies, apples, stars and chains. Mrs. Mamie Seat is the grand- mother of a girl born in Las Vegas to Monte and Mary Ellen Seat Chamberlain. The baby, named, Adrain, has one sister, Stacy. Merlene Hurst, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Miles Hurst is now a member of the Girl Scout Brownie organization. Young Merlene received her Girl Scout Brownie Pin at recent ceremonies at the Taylor ScLool. She is a member of Troop 125, with Mrs. Barbara "ester, Paysnn, as her leader. Jingle bells ringing in the cold air was a pleasant sound in recently as the West Mountain family of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hall rode from house to house in a surrey drawn by two pala- mino horses.
