Cop-perton. , , . The couple were married rri-day, rri-day, May 31, 'at Elko, Nev. They honeymooned at Sun Valley, Idaho, and are now making mak-ing their home at Lead Mine. vieve Groves at the home of Mr. Dan Groves of Copperton Tuesday Tues-day evening. Games were played play-ed for entertainment and delicious delic-ious refreshments were served. The tiouse prize was won by Mrs. Hugo Dellagnola. A lovely gift was presented to the honor guest by the group. Eighteen guests were present. Arriving May 25th for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Rex Mills and other relatives were Mr. and Mrs. Fern Pett and sons, Jimmy and Howard, of Torrance, Calif. Mr. Pett left June 1st to return to California. His family will visit here until the end of this month. Charles Smith of Layton will be a guest of Mrs. Mabel Brim-hall Brim-hall this week end. iMrs. Genevieve Groves and daughter, Camille, are leaving Saturday morning for the east where they will make their new home at Binghamton, New York. Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Muir visited visit-ed Sunday in Salt Lake City with Mrs. Wayne Reynolds. Attending the bride were her sisters, Mrs. Eugene Johnson of Copperton, matron of honor, and Miss Dorothy Sorioh of Murray, was miid cf honor. Dan Borich stood as best man: A dinner was held in honor of tlvj newlyweds following the ceremony. It was attended Iby the immediate families and close friends. The couple will make their home in Salt Lake City. Friends entertained with a Bare-well party for Mrs. Gene- Juno Nuptials The Copperton Methodist Church was setting Thursday evening, June 6, for the wedding of Miss Catherine Borich, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Felix McDonald, Mc-Donald, and Lowell Doss, also of Murray. Rev. Ada Duhigg solemnized sol-emnized the double ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Heather who observed their 55th wedding anniversary June 4 were honored with a family dinner recently in celebration of the occasion at the home of their daughter and son in law, Mr. and .Mrs. Rex Mills. Also here for 4he event were Mr. and Mrs. Fern Pett and sons, Jimmy and Howard. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Stone of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Mabel Brimhall were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith and children chil-dren of Layton Thursday. The Stones are leaving soon for California Cali-fornia where Mr. Stone will study stu-dy at the University of California for his doctor's degree. They will be there for two years. Mrs. Verio Kendrick was hostess hos-tess to her noon luncheon club at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ross M. Cushing, Tuesday. Mrs. Jack Householder Jr. was a special guest. Prizes at bridge were won by Mrs. Hosmer Peterson, Peter-son, Mrs. Householder, and Mrs. Boyd Anderson. Other members present were Mrs. Wesley Longfellow, Long-fellow, Mrs. Jack Pollock, Mrs. Martin Prigmore and Mrs. A. J. Sargent. |
