Stevenson, who mur- dered his wife in this city on the 3d of September, 1873, was sentenced to the State trison for three vears. About five o'clock in the afternoon, Mrs Stevenson was seen to run out of her house with both hands clasped over her breast, and blood gushing from a bullet wound there.
