Show BHS SCHOLARS HONORED AT BYU High school scholars from Bingham who received scholar-ilhiips scholar-ilhiips from Brigham Young University, Uni-versity, were honored at a reception re-ception and orientation meetings on .the BYU campus in Provo Saturday. The local students were part of a group of 153 students from high schools in Utah and Idaho who attended. BYU recently announced an-nounced the names of 400 high school and junior college students stu-dents who have received scholarships. schol-arships. During the forenoon, the visitors vis-itors were introduced, and heard talks by BYU odlficiailB on housing, hous-ing, registration, student activities activi-ties and other subjects they will encounter in their new careers. They were .guests at a luncheon, lunch-eon, and were conducted on tours of the campus. During the afternoon they conferred privately pri-vately with deans and department depart-ment chairmen on study programs. pro-grams.
