Editor Oodeh Jcsctioh: Sin In perusing the columns ef your Arnold, valuable paper, I notice a pieoe whicb concerns Almy and other surrounding precincts, under the heading of Down with Party Bondage. In that' piece certain men are represented as being the right men for the right plaee; including N. Beeman as County Commissioner. I am sorry to say that the majority of the citiiens of Almy does not possess that opinion of N. Beeman. In the first place they consider him a poor business man which is admitted by the foreman of the Rocky Mountain Mines, ef which N. Beeman is Superintendent. They are also inclined te believe that it takes aa energetic man te fill the office of County Commissioner; for this reason, among others, they considered it their duty to vote for Col. H. T. Hart, a candidate for tbe tame office. I also observe in your paper some instructions to the people of Almy, concerning the canvass ingofthe ballot; your advice was to give this particular atteation This we proposed to adhere to by bearing the ballot read as required by law, but N. Beeman was determined that the citizens of Almy should not enjoy this right if it lay within his power to prevent tliera. The course he pursued to effect this end was this: he and another geL tleman, if they can be called by that name, came to (be school house where the votes were polled, and created a tumultuous no ite by construing the hw and agitating tbe point that the. citizens bad no right to either see the ballot box ' opened or hear it read. I will now leave this subject for you. and the public to judge whether a man off this kirrif i worthy of the office of County Commissioner or not,, where of the peo'rrlij is at stake.
