New York, 9 A revolting scene took place this morning in Hudson county, N. J. jail, nt the execution of Jacob Micbela, a Russian seaman, for the murder of Deputj Marshal Stevenson, in July lupt. After Gordon offered an amendment to reduce the salaries of all officers of government, including the officers of the army and navy, whose salaries exceed $2,000 Wright deprecated the amendment as calculated to endanger the bill. Pending the discussion upon the amendment the Senate went into executive session and soon after adjourned. In the House O'Neill presented a memorial from the National Board of Trade for a commission consisting of the Attorney General and merchants, bankers and manufacturers, to revise the bankrupt law; also for a National system of quarantine. At 3 o'clock the death of Jas. Brooks was announced by his successor Cox, and eulogies on the deceased were pronounced by Messrs. Cox, Wood, Davis and Kelley. The death of W. D. Foster, Mich., was then announced, and bis two colleagues, Waldron and Williams, delivered eulogies on his character. Virginia City, 9.
