The chapter was asked by the National Society of the Sons of Utah Pioneers to install the sprinkling system for the new headquarters building located at 3301 E. 2920 S., Salt Lake City. Garner of the Bluffdale Police Department was one of 25 new officers to graduate from the police academy last week. Joe M. Borich, director of the Utah State Peace Officer Standards and Training, said that the sixth commencement exercises were held at the new academy, 4525 S. 2700 W. Col. Dennis J. Nordfelt, Utah Highway Patrol, was the keynote speaker.
