Ms Williams said she hoped the group could become a healing factor in the rift that exists between Utah women stemming from last summer's IWY conference. "WIN was formed after the IWY conference in July because we felt frustrated at the results," Ms Williams said. "We feel that all women want basically the same things but have different ways of going about them." "We hope to be a neutral group so that all women will feel free to join," Ms Wilker said. Although Ms Williams and Ms Wilker admitted most WIN members, which number approximately 100, support the Equal Rights Amendment, they said they hope women of differing viewpoints would feel free to attend the meetings. "We can only help solve our differences if we can establish dialogue," Ms Williams added. "Currently WIN has strong active members," Ms Wilker said, "which meet on the second and fourth Mon-dva- y of each month at the YWCA cottage." Even though the group plans to be a forum for women's opinions, Ms said Williams also bureaus speakers workshops, and a variety of projects will be established to help women's needs. Typical of these projects are a file or skills bank of women which serves as a reference volunteer force. Also at the meetings were YWCA workers who will coordinate efforts with WIN in sponsoring several women. YWCA workers were also at the news conference and mentioned some of the programs they hope to coordinate with WIN.
