She was born Mar. 9, 1922 in Panguitch to James B. and Fannie May LeFevre Davenport. She married Alvin F. Farnsworth on Dec. 24, 1943 in Elko, Nev., the marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The Teachers Priesthood Class of the Midvale Second LDS Ward enjoyed dinner at the church recently after which they went on a tour of the Metropolitan Hall of Justice and a special tour through the Salt Lake County Jail. Mr Schmidt showed him farming interests in Salt Lake valley and took him to lunch at a Salt Lake hotel. He was the guest of the Schmidts Saturday at a West Jordan stake banquet. They took him to his plane for San Francisco that evening. High School on Thursday. Thev held a parly for their father's on Monday owning. West Jordan American Legion Post sponsored the program and posted colors under the direction of Ken Shu'sen, commander, and Harold Crass and Mark Carroll. The Junior high eighth grade students were taken on a science tour last Tuesday. They enjoyed geological observations at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon, Little Cottonwood Canyon, Provo Canvon. They also went to BYU where they were taken through the science build ing. A number of PTA ladies accompanied the students and teachers on the trip. High Priests of the stake held a banquet and program in the South Jordan Ward cultural hall. About four hundred were in attendance. C. J. Peterson was master of ceremonies.. On the program was a quartet, Jay Burton, Ken Wil'iams, Ross Palmer, John Peterson accompanied by Mark Burton. Humorous readings were given by Mrs Fay Knowlton, a skit was given in two parts by Mrs Owen Neilson and by Owen Neilson. A short talk was given by President Barben.
