A youth banquet was held in West Jordan First Ward last Monday night under the direction of the ward MIA officers and their wives. The banquet was given for all the young people in the ward. Young people taking part on the program were Earlene Patterson, Valerie Webb, Billie Newman, Maria Smith, Christine Johnson, Vicki Jones, Sandra Holt, Radene Holt, Debra Caldwell, the chorus, and band. Scout court of honor was held in Riverton Second Ward building Thursday night for the Redwood District which includes the Riverton and the West Jordan stakes. A surprise birthday party was given for Barbara Wood by a group of 7th grade friends Saturday. They enjoyed a pot luck supper and a scavanger hunt. Mr & Mrs Guy Beckstrom are home after spending the winter in sunny Yuma, Ariz. Mr & Mrs Glen Beekstead have returned to their home in West Jordan after spending the winter months in Yuma, Ariz. They also made a trip into Mexico while gone.
