Fairway Estates Rezone Planned . 0. e WEST JORDAN. A parcel of land on 9000 So. 900 West will undergo by the West Jordan City Council in a public hearing set for Feb. 16. The property located within an area of the city zoned for light manufacturing was given an ) manufacturing park designation in May 1985. Plans by the developer to locate industrial development in the area were out of compliance with the zone that only calls for "light" industry, with no outdoor storage. In an effort to bring the area back into compliance with the recently completed city master plan, the city council initiated action on the parcel to change the zoning from manufacturing to an agricultural holding zone. City representatives pointed out that landowner Dean Smith does not approve of the action, but is not expected to oppose the move by the city. , The 8.1. acre parcel is located just south of 9000 South and west of the Jordan River. City planners have designated that area as the "southeastern gateway into the city" that should be preserved for attractive light manufacturing or residential develop- DOCSEVERINSEN .tlheit ment Our thanks to these sponsors Salt Lake Sheraton ivu. i unci o u-- rs REAL ESTATE MORTGAGE gjgg SERVICES.
