The City Council here Tuesday night took up the issue of improving the city's radio system The subject was brought to the attention of the council by Police Captain Gary Lancaster, who wrote that dead spots in the coverage of the communication system is one of the safety problems facing the city employees, not just the police department. Capt. Lancaster proposed adding additional receivers to the system at three different locations. The first and most critical, he writes, is at the Flat Iron water tanks.
