A year ago she was pale, thin, and unable to loin in the pleasures of her little friends for her hip was dislocated. She was born that way and many physicians who had been called to relieve her of her sufferings had looked at the poor little limb ana said, "we can ao nothing for it." Through the efforts of Dr. Samuel C. Baldwin Dr. Lorenz came to Salt Lake October 31st last year. He remained here only one day, but during his stay Muriel RauschH deformed hip was rubbed and pulled and kneaded by the great surgeon back to where nature de signed it should be. Then an armor of plaster was cast abput the joint and around the child's loins. The big man from Vienna went away, leaving his patient under the care of Dr. Baldwin and giving him instructions for future treatment. After several months the plaster" cast became cracked and broken and a new one was required. Dr. Baldwin successfully replaced it. following the instructions of Dr. Lorenz closely. He carefully examined the sore joint while the cast was off and became sat Two isfied that it was improving. months ago he replaced the second cast with a third and this time the evidence of the cure was strong. No sign of dis ease was apparent, but JJr. Baldwin said : "Let's wait just a little time longer that Dr. Lorenz's work may not be spoiled by any undue haste." The Interstate Medical association will convene here September 1st, and before that bedy Dr. Baldwin will remove the present cast and exhibit Muriel Rausch cured. By this act the final instructions of Dr. Lorenz will have been carried out. Dr. Baldwin confidently expects the cure to be complete.
