Sheriff Emery went to Ogden last night and worked on the case until midnight, and was up and at it again at 6 o'clock this morning. Expects to Catch Them. As a result of his work in conjunction w ith the Weber county officials. Sheriff Emery has at last found a clue that he confidently believes will lead to the apprehension of the murderers. Sheriff Emery has two persons under suspicion. These are a man and woman who answer the description of those seen with Ryan prior to his death. Another Woman Involved. The woman is not the one whom it Mas at first supposed was implicated, but another woman, the known associate of a man of very bad reputation. The search for the gray team that has played so prominent and so mysterious part in the tragedy is now being carried on ir. five counties. The Sheriffs and deputies of Salt Weber, Wasatch, Summit and Morgan counties are exerting every effort to find this team and its drivers but wtihout success. Xo official information of the intention of "Mother" Jones and her "army" to visit the President at Sagamore Hill has been received at the executive offices here. Under the circumstances neither "Mother" Jones nor her "army" would be received by the President, unless arrangements were made in advance. If such arrangements were not made there will be no possibility of thr "army" reaching Sagamore Hill. The members would be sent back by the secretary. It is reasonably certain the President would not receive the army" as a body. at Ogden, made the following statement to The Telegram by telephone at noon today: EXCITEMENT IN KENTUCKY "I have two people under suspicion, but they are not in Ogden at this time. "They are a man and a woman, but the woman is not the notorious character against whom my suspicions were at first directed. The Contesting Delegations Have Warm Time in State Convention. "This woman, while she has no local police record, is known to the authorities as the associate of a man of dissolute character and of exceedingly bad reputation. "The woman has lived at Ogden at various times for short periods, never remaining longer than a few weeks. She is a rover, and probably lives at Ogden as much as at any other place. Woman Tills Description. "She is tall, slender and dark, and fits the description of the woman seen by a number of persons with Ryan. "Ryan stated to a number of people in Ogden that this woman had told him the story of her hardships and the abuse and neglect she had suffered at the hands of her alleged husband, and that she wanted to accompany him on his trip over the State. He did not state to these people whether or not he jS. ould take her, but later developments (showed that he did take her. "Ryan was in Ogden about ten days ago, remaining in the city for two semi-stampe- days. f 8.1 LOUISVILLE, Ky July 16. The secday's session of the Republican State convention opened with the prospects of further excitement to be furnished by the report of the committee on credentials. The committee sat until midnight hearing evidence in th contest waged by the Belknap and Will-so- n forces over the Louisville delegation. The final vote was seven to live in favor of the seating of the Belknap delegation. Heartened by Gov. Bradley's personal popularity and the of yesterday, the Willson forces have determined to carry the fight over the Louisville delegation to the floor of th convention, and five members of the committee on credentials who voted for the Willson delegation prepared a strong minority report, it having been arranged that Gov. Bradley should lead the fight While the delegates were waiting for the call to order, formed Gov. Bradley entered the hall and was given an ovation scarcely les3 enthusiastic than the one of yesterday. The convention was called to order at 10:15 a. m., but as committees were not ready to report the an adjournment was taken until 1 o'clock tlais afternoon, ond i C3 de cp-frallsa- ' n.TL Pcr't Increin, Tit KOiir, JuIt 10, 3 p, prostration Is diSi-cult- y h experience in l:.Athlr irrcwn rust mtIsui, sr.
