Show Rollover One-Ca- r Lindon Youth Becomes Utah County's Tenth Traffic Victim of '64 Utah county's spiraling 1964 highway death toll reached 10 this week, with death of a Lindon youth Friday in a Provo Canyon one-cnight rollover. Jim L. Fryer, son of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy (Sam) Fryer of Lindon, was killed when the car he was driving down the canyon went out of control on a curve and rolled over. Two companions escaped the inmishap, one without any juries at all and the other with only a cut leg. Ricky Brown. 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ranch Brown, was unhurt, and Steven Duncan, 18, son of Mrs. Delsa Duncan, was treated for a cut on his leg and released. (Steve) Stevenson, Payson, who operates . a commercial and portrait photography business in Provo, has announced his candidacy for state representative from District Seven on the Republican ticket. He attended the University of Utah, and served in World War II in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1943 to 1946. At the close of the war, he was appointed rehabilitation advisor for the Twelfth Marine District, Seattle, to assist in discharge and resettlement of Marines. During the construction of Geneva Steel Plant and the expansion of Ironton and the coal and iron mines, during 1942 and and 1943, he served as head photographer for U.S. Steel Corp. on these projects. After discharge from the Marines, he returned to the steel corporation, serving as head photographer during conversion of Geneva facilities and expansion of the coil and sheet mills, and during air pollution surveys from 1950 to 1954. He founded his Provo busi-- 1 ness in 1948. Active in business and civic affairs, he served as a director of Provo Retail Merchants Council during the first year of its activities 1957-5He has been active in Utah County Republican party. Mr. Stevenson served as president of tUah County Photographers Association in 1954, and was founder of Utah State Photographers Association in 1955.
