Mrs. Payne was introduced by Mrs. Earl Page, program chairman on "Poetry of Other Countries." In .addition to reading a number of poems, Mrs. Payne played tape recordings of voices of ' several local women reading poetry of various countries Explanation of the works was given along with poems read in foreign languages as follows: German, Mrs. Doris Kennison; Danish Mrs. Ragna Dodd; and Spanish, Mrs. Martha Hall.
