I provided for in the comprehensive summer recreation program provided by the City's Recreation Department. Although! a month of the play program which besran June 4ha gone by, there is still ahead a bag full of pleasant summer activities to interest the youth of the area, said Jim Bergera, supervisor of recreation under the direction of Linn Rockwood, director of parks and recreation. The program runs through Aug. 3L Activities! are being conducted in the playgrounds and in the area: j of arts and crafts, creative rhythms and basic dance movements, girls Softball, boys baseball, swimming instruction and tennis. Super playground, programs are being conducted in nine areas designed primarily for children years of age including arts and crafts, low organized games, quiet games, pin ? pong, story telling, reading, nature activities, special events, excursions and city tournaments. Playgrounds are open at Franklin, Joaquin and Maeser schools, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. At Wasatch, Provost, Grand-vieand Timpanogas Schools, supervision is being given on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons and Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The rroriiing session hours are from 9 a.m., to 12 noon with the afternoon session beginning at! 1 :30 p.m., and concluding at 4:30 p.m. A fine arts and crafts program is conducted at Mae-seWasatch,!
