Sunday, Dec. 16 Tuesday, Dec. 18 ‘Beautiful Boy’ at the Eccles Center Park City Institute will present “Beautiful Boy: David Sheff and Nic Sheff at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts, 1750 Kearns Blvd. David Sheff and his son Nic, who are the subjects of the recently released film “Beautiful Boy,” where they are played respectively by Steve Carell and Timothee Chalamet, will share their story of struggle when Nic was addicted to drugs, and how they are trying to change how the country thinks about substance abuse. Park City Institute presents Bob Woodward Park City Institute will present an evening with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Bob Woodward at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts, 1750 Kearns Blvd. Woodward, an associate editor at the Washington Post, is known for uncovering the Nixon Administration’s cover-up of Watergate alongside Carl Bernstein, immortalized by Robert Redford’s performance in the 1976 film “All The President’s Men.” He published his 19thbook, “Fear: Trump in the White House,” earlier this year. Friday and Saturday’s screenings will start at 8 p.m. Sunday’s screening will start at 6 p.m. Melissa McCarthy stars as Lee Israel, the best-selling celebrity biographer (and cat lover) who made her living in the 1970’s and 80’s. When Israel found herself unable to get published because she had fallen out of step with the marketplace, she turned her art form to deception and became an accomplished forger.
