Electric Light Parade The annual Main Street Electric Light Parade will kick off Holidays on Main at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24. Tuesday, Nov. 27 Paradigm Pivots: A Night of Educational Entertainment Paradigm Pivots, featuring talks presented by Park City-based speakers Terry Sidford, Kit Allowitz, Kirsten Henry Fox and Sam Cullinane will run from 5-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. The four, who are working on either their keynote speeches or TEDx presentations will talk about everything from courage to willpower and resilience to intimacy. The event is free and open to the public, though a suggested minimum age is 18 due to explicit content. Mindfulness Elevated The Park City LiVe Well Center will host an eight-week mindfulness experience that focuses on the four foundations of mindfulness – body, life, effort and mind. Sessions are held every Tuesday. Participants will spend two weeks learning practices from each foundation to open and unfold the mind and heart. Wednesday, Nov. 28 ‘Hokusai’ documentary screening The British Museum and the Park City Library will present a screening of Patricia Wheatley’s documentary “Hokusai,” at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. Filmed in Japan, the US and the UK, the film focuses on Japanese artist Hokusai’s work, life and times more than 100 years ago in Edo, which is now Tokyo.
