The sentence was suspended and the court placed him on supervised probation for 24 months, and ordered him to complete standard terms and conditions. Daniel Jason Martinez, 35, of Salt Lake City, was sentenced for the offense of possession or use of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and suspended 355 days. The court placed him on supervised probation for 24 months and ordered him serve 10 days in jail with credit for 10 days served, and complete other standard terms and conditions. Marvin Lawrence Stevens, 33, of Salt Lake City, was sentenced for the offense of theft, a second-degree felony, and driving under the influence, a class B misdemeanor. The court imposed a sentence of one to 15 years at the Utah State Prison for theft. The sentence was suspended and the court imposed a 365-day jail sentence with credit for 83 days served. The court ordered him to undergo a substance abuse evaluation and successfully complete any recommended treatment and aftercare at the Summit County Jail.
