The nonprofit’s 27th annual Navajo Rug Show and Sale will run from Nov. 10-12. Many volunteers are needed to make the event the success. The Rug Show is one of the ways AdoptA-Native-Elder provides benefits for elders and their families. This is the last volunteer meeting before the event. Students in grades four through eight are invited to participate in a program of social skills and dance education. Sessions will be held monthly at Temple Har Shalom through March 8. Participants learn skills that will empower them to feel comfortable with themselves and others, to communicate more effectively, and to set a leadership example in school, work opportunities, or in any social situation, promoting personal growth, confidence and character. Park City Film Series: ‘Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation’ The Park City Film Series present a free screening of Peter Spirer and Peter Baxter’s “Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation,” not rated. at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. “Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation” follows The Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Team on the road as they compete in the 2015 World Box Lacrosse Championships. The documentary focuses on the spiritual importance of lacrosse to the Iroquois Confederacy, which is a central part of their heritage and one they consider to be a “medicine game.” A postfilm Q&A will feature director Peter Baxter, cofounder of Slamdance, and Cassandra Begay, member of the Navajo tribe and Pandos tribal liaison. One Revolution Foundation Fundraiser One Revolution Foundation, whose mission is to the break down the stereotypical perception of disability, will throw One Rollicking Revel: A Halloween Bash fundraiser at 7 p.m. on Frdiay, Oct. 27, at O.P. Utah History Lecture: Jon Schutz Water rights attorney Jon Schutz will give a presentation about the history of water rights in the West at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27, at the Park City Library’s Community Room, 1255 Park Ave. Refreshments will be served before the lecture.
