Show The Park Record C-6 Wed/Thurs/Fri, January 18-20, 2017 calendar of music & events happening this week Wednesday, Jan. 18 Utah Symphony Chamber Concert Utah Symphony will perform “Sereanade for Strings,” a chamber music concert at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1505 White Pine Canyon Road. The performance will feature works by Mozart, Biber, Holst and Tchaikovsky. Advanced tickets are $25 for general admission and $15 for students. Tickets the day of the concert will be $30 and $20. Simplifying Detoxifying A simplifying detoxifying class will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Alpine Apothecary, 1675 W. Redstone Center Drive No.125 at Kimball Junction. The class will learn about potential sources of environmental toxins, how to prevent exposure, how to evaluate toxic burdens,and the safest methods for removing accumulated burden. Fox School of Wine The Fox School of Wine, located at the Silver Baron Lodge, 2880 Deer Valley Drive, East, holds classes Saturdays from 6-7 p.m. The Fox School of Wine will present classes with wine tastings based on weekly topics. The EcoCenter will provide the climbing harness, but climbers must wear closed-toe shoes. Climbers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to sign a liability waiver.
