Show C-12 The Park Record Scene & Heard Photos by Tanzi Propst Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues,September 3-6, 2016 A delightful crafternoon The Park City Library hosted its weekly Crafternoons class at 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 31. This week, children were invited to come and learn how to make a paper fish complete with fi ns and googly eyes. Clockwise from top left: Pablo Abarca offers instructions while he and Feren Johnson, 5, apply glue to their green construction paper as they put together the belly of a paper fi sh during Crafternoons at the Park City Library. Feren folds his green construction paper over, pressing the edges into place after applying glue. Since the start of school, families have gotten busy and the class has seen fewer children in attendance, but that is a normal occurrence, according to Abarca. Feren takes a look at his fi nished paper fi sh. Nevermind the laws of nature — Johnson insisted that his fi sh have a dorsal fi n. Andrew Johnson, 3, touches Pablo Abarca’s model fi sh as Abarca shows Andrew what his paper fi sh will look like when it is complete. Andrew applies a mouth to the bottom of his paper fi sh. Betraying a rebellious nature much like Feren, Andrew informed his mother, Sloane, that his fi sh was no longer a fi sh, but a shark.
