Rodney Crowell at the Egyptian Theatre The Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St., will present Nashville-based singer and songwriter Rodney Crowell from Friday, Sept. 2 to Sunday, Sept. 4. Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 8 p.m. and Sunday’s concert will start at 6 p.m. Crowell is a multi-Grammy winner, a member of the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and the recipient of the 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award for Songwriting from the Americana Music Association. His songs have been covered and performed by Van Morrison, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Etta James, George Strait, Royksopp, Tim McGraw and Bob Seger. He is also known for his collaborations with Emmylou Harris. Tickets range from $49 to $80 and they can be purchased by visiting www.parkcityshows.com. Saturday, Sept. 3 St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Concert Series: Jewel Park City Institute’s St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights Summer Concert Series will wrap up its 2016 season with award-winning singer and songwriter Jewel at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Amphitheater on Saturday, Sept. 3. The Friends of the Park City Library Annual Used Book Sale The Friends of the Park City Library will hold its annual Labor Day Weekend Used Book Sale from Saturday, Sep. 3, to Monday, Sept. 5. The sale will be at The Park City Library at 1255 Park Ave., and will feature a wide selection of hardbacks, paperbacks, DVDs and many other items. The FOL member preview will be Saturday, Sept. 3, from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and the public will be admitted at 10:30 a.m. Sunday’s hours will be from 10:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Monday’s hours will run from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday’s sale is dubbed the Bargain Bag Sale and people can fill bags up for $5. Park City Point 2 Point One of the country’s strongest endurance mountain bike races will ride Park City Point 2 Point at Deer Valley on Saturday, Sept. 3. Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle Shows The Flying Ace All-Stars Freestyle shows are held every Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Utah Olympic Park, 3419 Olympic Pkwy. at Kimball Junction. The Flying Ace All-Stars are composed of the world’s top Olympic-level skiers, snowboarders and acrobats who perform a half-hour choreographed acrobatic routine set to music. The EcoCenter will provide the climbing harness, but climbers must wear closed-toe shoes. Climbers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to sign a liability waiver.
