Coach Buck Dixon that his Cougars will have says the home course advantage, but will be facing the defending conference champions who have their top four lettermen returning to defend their title. The BYU quartet will lack experience against the Ute veterans, but will hope for the best in the meet. In opening workouts for the team this season, Coach Dixon discovered that three of his returning lettermen whom he had hoped would form the nucleus of this year's team, were not able to return for conference play. Dan Lambert who graduated, Shafter Bowen who didn't return to school and Doug Jenkins formed the potential notches for the Cougars. With these three men not returning. Coach Dixon will place the weight of the meet on Don Allen, Bob Swenson, Paul Davis and Lynn Bell all of Provo. Present conference rulings allow only four men on a team, but this may be changed this weekend to six men as last year by conference officials. Pushing- the ton men for team positions will be Bud Nelson. Wayne Brown, Ross Bell, Stewart Nelson and Keith Deeds. Many eyes will be on Bill John son, ute Coach Parry Sorenson'a top player who placed third in the intercollegiate nationals last year.
