Paul grew up in American Fork and graduated from American Fork High School in 1955. He and Sharon made their first home in Arcadia, California where they raised their family. Paul worked in the grocery business in California for 22 years as an area manager for a large grocery chain. He was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many callings including Bishop of Grove. 18, 1937 in Lehi to Glen Henry and Violet Powell Varney. Paul married his high school by his family. Dean April 27. the Roswell Georgia Ward. His passion was scouting, where he received the Silver Beaver Award and served as Scout Master for 25 years. He helped over 80 young men including his two sons achieve their Eagle Rank. He served a service mission to BYU in the Family History Center. He loved going to the canyons to fish and camp. He is survived by his wife Sharon of Pleasant Grove; three children: Debra (Gale) Nortoa Modesto, CA; Scott (Susan) Varney, Roswell, GA; Randall (Emily) Varney, Pleasant Grove; 16 grandchildren; siblings: Sherman (Maureen) Varney, Cedar Hills and Beth Hall, Pleasant Grove. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden 10th Ward Chapel, 56 South 1300 West, Pleasant Grove where friends may call am. Fraughton passed away on May 21, 2008 at home surrounded 1934 to Beatrice and Henry LaVern Fraughton in Francis, Utah. He Chris passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on May 20, 2008. His fa ther was with him. Born, October 15, 1977 Seattle, WA to Dianne Lindley and Stevan Lars Nielsen, the 1st of 4 boys. At 16 Chris had a heart i S v transplant at Primary Children's Medical Center. He graduated from Orem High, served in the LDS New York North mission, and graduated in biochemistry from BYU. He worked as a chemist for two years, then entered doctoral studies in organic chemistry at the U of U three years ago. Chris liked mountain biking, volleyball, hiking, camping, and casual time with friends and family. He loved chemistry, the Church, and reading. He worked long hours in his lab. Chris was witty, ironic, generous, loyal, and loving. - f lived in Francis until he was 9 years old, he then moved to American Fork for the remainder of his years where he lived a full and rewarding life. Dean attended American Fork High school where he was involved in many sports, excelling in basketball. He was on the first American Fork High School team to take a state championship in 1950. Dean married his high school sweetheart, Dixie Lee Rhone on November 23, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. He was right at home in the mountains where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, hiking and horseback riding. He also enjoyed good music -t-eaching and playing the accordion. Church and served in many capacities, including ward clerk, bishop's counselor, bishop, stake high counselor, and a sealer in the Provo Temple for 20 years. He was the last of a long line of bishops of the original Pleasant View Ward, which was organized in 1891. He and Ruth served for 18 months in the Canada Calgary Mission. Harold's hobbies were gardening, fishing, hunting, and he loved his horses and hunting dogs. He was a private pilot and enjoyed flying in his middle years. His posterity will remember him as a wonderful and loving father, moved with his parents to Loa, Wayne County, Utah where he attended 8 grades of friends. Harold returned to Provo and graduated from Lincoln High School and L.D.S. Seminary. He then attended Brigham Young University. After graduation he was an assistant in the Chemistry Department for 3 years, earning both bachelors and masters degrees. Harold continued his graduate work at the University of Utah for 1 year, again on an in chemistry. He completed his course work for a Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis; but because of war requirements, Harold was unable to continue at Minnesota for the degree, Harold married Ruth Stott in the Manti Temple on September 7, 1939. She accompanied him to graduate school in Minneapolis. Returning to Provo, Harold was employed at the Ironton Steel Plant as a chemist and industrial engineer, and for 14 12 years as Superintendent of the Coke and Coal Chemicals Department. He was then transferred to the Geneva Steel Plant, where he was Superintendent of the Coke and Coal Chemicals Department until his retirement in 1972. Harold was a member of the 2003 of American Iron and Steel Engineers Association, the Kiwanis Club, and President of BYU, Colvin.
