Halloween and harvest time were dominant themes on the Utah; County social v v scene this week, forming the motifs for numerous delightful parties. Witches, goblins and apparitions vied with horns and plenty of late autumn flowers for the center of the stage, with he Halloween characters used atthe majority of the ' I c X"-- ; J XX : " ; parties. ' - However there were some lovely "harvest festival" events, too, including a four-- : star special banquet held Friday night" at the Women's Clubhouse by the Provo Women's Council. Jack Thomas was chairman of the dance committee, while Mrs'. Roy L. Elliott Jr. was in charge of bazaar arrangements. Spooks and goblins got a real workout when they joined merrymakers at a public square dance ' &. . a There was Halloween fand frolic at Payson Saturday night where youngx people enjoyed a special dance.
