Show FIRE PREVENTION OBSERVANCE NEARS Just how good a job are valun-teer valun-teer fire departments around the state doing? Are they supervising regular, periodic inspections of homes, buildings, schools and other structures? What sort of general public education in fire prevention is being carried on? These and other important questions ques-tions will be answered, as part of the observance of Fire Prevention Week early next month. On the basis of such information and supporting sup-porting datasubmitted to the Utah Safety Council, an award will be presented to the department doing the most outstanding job. This will be the first award of its kind made by the Council and will be an annual an-nual event. Speeches, demonstrations, film showings, broadcasts, and news stories will be reviewed by the board of judges. Volunteer departments are being reminded to send in their entries to the Council prior to the dead line of September 30. O |
