John Brooke of the Sandy Community Church, left last Monday morning for Boise, Ida. to e attend a midwinter youth assembly. They will return Thursday night. They went by bus with thirty other young people from the state of Utah who are members of the Utah Association of the United Church of Christ. The youths are Vickie Veneri, daughter of Mr & Mrs Wave Veneri; Solvey and Marianne Brandt, daughters of Dr. & Mrs Robert Gordon. Rev. Brooks is the State youth advisor for the Church of Christ. The priests quorum in First Ward met Sunday evening at the home of Mr & Mrs Clyde Coon for a cottage meeting. Mr Coon is the new advisor of the quorum. Mrs Willard Richardson has been in the hospital. Mrs Pearl Gourley's mother, Mrs Jesse Warner, from Salt Lake died two weeks ago. She mothered Mrs Gourley from childhood after her natural mother died from illness and her father remarried.
