This Thanksgiving the nation mourns the death of a president, cut down by an assassin before he could complete his work. I need not tell you what you have to be thankful for. There are so many things: big important things, small things; things you can touch with your finger, things so intangible that they exist only in the world of ideas. So numerous are they that Americans this week can only puzzle over the kind of person it takes to feel hatred so intense, that all the wonderful things that are the Unicd States of America can be 'cast aside in taking the life of the President of the United States.
