The group njoyed a luncheon together and spent the afternoon playing bridge. Those who attended were Alice Chhr-eral- l, Florence Anderson and Marie Mitchell, all of East Mid-valHazel Nelson and Bernice Adams, both of Murray,. Delor-- a Capes, Holladay and Lenora Holt, South Jordan. Funeral services for Mrs Mary L. Swenson were held May 22 in the East Midvale Second Ward chapel with Bishop T. Foster Greenwood officiating. Prayers were offered by Patriarch Parley R. Glov er, President Lewis Monson, President Reed H Beckstead, and Harold Glover. Speakers were Frank Pierson, President Marlon S. Bateman and Bishop Greenwood. Musical, numbers were presented by Mr & Mrs Elmer Terry, Mrs Eleanor Mc Geary, Mrs Sondra Smith and Miss Norma Lynn Hale, and Mr Robert Morely. Pall bearefs were grandsons, Stanley R, Sharp, Ronald Swenson, F. A, Brent Butler, Max Butler, Sharp and Robert Swenson. The Young Marrieds Group of the East Midvale Second Ward enjoyed a party together Saturday evening at the home of Mr & Mrs Draney Smith. Mr & Mrs Gary Ashby and Mr & Mrs Smith were for the occasion. Mrs Grace Thornton recent ly returned from a three day visit with her daughter and husband, Mr & Mrs Don Merrill. The Merrills reside in Idaho Falls, Ida. Mrs William Sharp, Rigby, Ida., visited during the last week with her daughter and family, Mrs LaMar Newbold. Mrs Sharp came to attend the funeral services of Mrs Mary 7. Albert Smith were guests Sunday at a patio dinner in the home of their son and his wife, Mr & Mrs Draney Smith. Mrs Elmer 'Wood and her daughter, Mrs Robert Wilkina son, Sandy, accompanied group of ladies from the Sandy Tenth Ward on a tour Monday morning of the Beehive and Lion Houses in Salt Lake. Following the tour, they enjoyed lunch together at the Lion House and then returned home. Part of the members also went to the LDS Rug factory as part of the tour following lunch.
