The Silver Bee, emblematic of outstanding contributions to Scout ing, was presented Tuesday night to Robert W. Atkinson, at the annual meeting of the East Jordan Scout District, Boy Scout of America, in the East iMdvale First ward chapel. The award was presented by J. Thomas Fyan, first counselor in the East Jordan stake presidency. Mr Atkinson is a member of the troop committee of troop 124 and has served many years as a merit badge counselor. He has a long record of service in scouting. Rulon W. Do man, scout executive, Great Salt Iike Council, was a speaker at the meeting. Mrs Atkinson was presented a lovely corsage during the evening. Pvt. Raymond Peterson, stationed with the U.S. Army at Fort Eustif, Va., returned to camp Wednesday after spending the holidays in this vicinity with his mother, Mrs Agnes Brady Allen of Midvale and his grandparents, Mr & Mrs Hyrum Brady.
