Mr. Silcox, a son of Thomas and Annie Ostler Silcox, was born Feb. 12, 1878 in Bridgeport, England. At the age of nine years, he came to the United States with his fam ily, following their, conversion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Lat ter-daSaints. Mrs. Silcox, a daughter of Phil lip and Clara Rozilla Nell, was born Jan. 15, 1883 in Riverton. The couple were married May 31, 1900 in the Salt Lake temple. The couple continued to make their home in Riverton, where they still reside. Mr. Silcox engaged in farming and also as a sheepman during his entire life. They are both active members of Riverton First ward. Mrs. Silcox served as block teacher in the Relief Society for more than 30 years, and has worked as a member of the work and business department of the Ward Relief Society over a period of many years. Mr & Mrs Silcox have also done considerable temple work. They have done much to assist in the Riverton community. Mr & Mrs Silcox are the parents of five sons and daughters, all of whom are living. They are: Mrs. George (Rozilla) Ransom and Mrs. Leonard (Bernice) Severson of Midvale; Rupert S. Silcox, Mag na; Wayne Silcox and Gordon Sil cox, Sandy.
