Show SANDY SECOND WARD BAZAAR FOR TONfGHT SCHEDULED Sandy Second ward supper and bazaar, will be held Friday, No. 14, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Sanely recreational hal', sponsored by Sandy Second ward Relief Society vith Mrs. Florence Cundick, president, in charge. A supper will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to be followed by a program at 8 n.m. The price of the dinner is $1.00 for adults and 50 cents for children. Various articles including quilts, aprons, pillow oases and novelty articles will be for sale in the bazaar booths. An invitation is extended to all to attend. ippenincfd MRS. Completes Building Program Everything is in readiness for the Sandy Third ward reunion and banquet for Saturday, Nov. 15, at Sandy recreational hall from 5:30 pjn. to 8:30 p.m. The banquet, which is free of charge, is for all the members of Sandy Third ward and all former members before the division of the wards one year ago, according to Bishop Max Mumf ord. A special meeting will be held Sunday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. in connection with ward sacrament services, commemorating the completion of their ward chapel, with Bishop Max Mumford in charge. Elder Howard McKean, chairman of the church building committee, and other representatives are expected to be in attendance, also members of ML Jordan stake high council, and presidency, others. ; ; furnished by SanSinging will-bdy Third ward choir under direction of Arvid J. Larson. Special musical numbers will also be presented. The Sandy Third ward recently completed the enlarging of the chapel and the adding of a large social hall and six class rooms as well as other improvements. The seating capacity is now at least 350 persons with the addition of the new social hall. The membership committee of Associthe Sandy Parent-Teacher- s ation, is sponsoring their annual membership drive for the school according to Mrs. year 1952-53- , John Henschke, chairman. The dues this year have raised to fifty cents per person or $1.00 per couple. Of this sum, five cents goes to the National Parent-Teache- r Association, 20 cents to the and 25 cents to the State Ten cents of the local local 25 cents will go to the scholarship fund, according to Mrs. Henschke. The main objective of the is to bring about a closer relationship among the parents, the teachers and the school, for the benefit of the children. Bergman, 76, father of Willard D. Bergman, former Bishop of Sandy Second ward, died at his home at Terre Haute, Ind., Oct 31. The elder Mr. Bergman re sided with his son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Willard D. Bergman. in Sandy for a year recently. He was baptized as a member of the IDS church by his son, Willard, Jan. 7, 1951, while they were members of Sandy Second ward. Willard D. Bergman flew to Indiana prior to the death of his father where he visited with him and also with his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bergman, and his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Handy at their homes in Indiana. ... Thomson, Mrs. Maud Orton, Mrs. Veloy Allsop and Mrs. Emma Erickson, enjoyed a class party Tuesday, Nov. 4. Games were played, followed by refreshments. There were 30 in attendance. The Special Interest class of Sandy Third ward, has chosen President Reuben J. Clark's book, "On the Road to Immortality and Eternal Life" as their course of study, which will also be alternated with recreational and special activities, it has been announced. All adults of the ward are invited to attend. Mrs. Melba Park, wife of Ralph Park, returned recently from the St. Marks hospital where she underwent her third major operation. She is reported to be improving each day.
