Show farted H. C. By B. There were approximately 400 less votes east in the Midvale city election Tuesday than there were two years ago, and this is not a very favorable reflection upon the local electorate. If these 400 voters had exercised their priceless privilege, the results might have been entirely different, or maybe the winners might have received greater majorities who knows. Anyway, there should have been more votes cast. Volume XVII! Nov. 14, at 8.15 p m. This chorus was organized in Salt Lake in 1914 by Ernest R. Kimball and John C. Dnnclson, father of Earl Donclson, the present director of the chorus. The chorus was organized to raise funds for a church building and was originally known as the Richards Ward Male Chorus. Their efforts in this building fund drive met with such success that It was decided to continue the chorus, and, inasmuch as the group originally specialized in minstrels, In harmony with their black face pre sentations, they chose the name "Swanec". The Swance Singers have have sung all over the Western United States, participating in the Eisteddfod which was held at the San Francisco World's Fair In 1939, winning third place in international male chorus competition. In 1941 the chorus was Invited to present a program before the National Federation of Music Gubs In Los Angeles and three years ago made a concert tour of the Northwest They have also appeared in concert in most of the major cities of Utah and Idaho.
