Show Dr. Theral J. Mott, Karen Dygert Married In Rites At Candlelight From Out Our Window ijlTBIOTLT WOMAN'! FOINT OF TIBWgj A - by Trudy g don't like to go 'commercial' and try to tell some there's always a first time, and this Is It for me. but thing, You see, we have a map down at the office showing Vietnam and the countries around It, like North Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, that is selling for $1.00 and it's worth every penny of It. I've always liked maps and when all this trouble In Vietnam began I pulled out my Atlas to find out where all the fuss was. It took me half an hour to even find the place and then it was so small I couldn't see half what was written and so put the book back In disgust. President Johnson, I decided, gets a right nice salary each year and one of the jobs he gets paid for is pouring over the map of that unpopular place. So, I resolved, he could do it for me, and it'd serve him right, too. like the war or not, doesn't matter But, whether one whit. It's there. And Congress can insist on calling it a Conflict, all they want. When men are fighting and dying, it's a war to me. And sticking my head in the sand and pretending it would go away hasn't helped a bit. So . . . when the maps came I dutifully took one home to study, and ya know what? It's not bad. Not bad at all. Nice and colorful, and what's more . , . It's big enough to read without a magnifying glass. I taped it to the side of my refrigerator and now when the news tells me what's happening in some uncan glance at my map, and sure pronounceable place, nuff there it is. Plain as day. And even if I don't approve of what they're doing over there, now I at least know what and where to cuss. ' A ' ' If "Ate ? " J, I - M - .- Now making their home in employed at the LDS Hospital. P I Don Blair I It's called the Vietnam Conflict Map (musn't use don't ya know) word that nasty three-lettand it includes most of the U.S. base sites as well as rivers and principal towns of the country. It is indexed for quick placing of places and also has a chronological list of events since WW II which have slowly led up to the war. (Oops, I mean conflict). It fills a 29x22 inch space. Whether you have someone dear serving there . . . have school youngsters just becoming aware of world events or are just vitally Interested yourself about the mess we have there . . . send us your dollar and your map will be yours within a day or so. Someone said that one picture is worth a thousand words and I don't know how many words I've written (and don't count 'em cause I don't even care) but one look at the map will be worth all my words tossed together. Instead of a tiny strip in some atlas, Vietnam will appear enlarged and easy to see. Now, I don't suppose you'll want one to tend to your favorite Gl who's fighting in there (he's seen more of Vietnam than he ever wants to see again the rest of his life), but for you here at home trying to keep track of him, It's just the thing.
