Show TUE MURRAY. EAGLE Five couples enjoyed the evening. Recently returned from a ten-da- y vacation trip tq the northwest and Canada, are Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Nelson, 6079 So. State St., and Mr. and Mrs. Mil-liu- s Plott of 267 West 5300 So. Along the way, the two couples visited Mr. Nelson's brother, Bud Nelson, in Nampa, Ida., also Mrs. Plott s cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Coral Parry, in Baker, Ore., and Mrs. Nelson's cousin, Ruth Torrey, of Seattle, Wash. Among the many sights and places they enjoyed were the Columbia river, the capital cities of Idaho and Washington, the famous Butchart Gardens in Victoria, Canada, and the city of Vancouver, Canada. They also visited Grand Coulee dam, and toured Butte and Helena, Mont. Interesting to note was the custom of the Canadian people in Victoria, where both young and old ride bicycles, as contrasted to the neighboring city of Vancouver, which is similar to any large city in the States. While in Victoria, they were thrilled to stay in the same rooms recently occupied by Pres. David O. McKay and family. One of the highlights of their trip was the crossing from Victoria to Vancouver on the ferry "Princess Nanaimo." The ship had been in service but two weeks and was beautifully decorated in velvet and with wood imported from Switzerland. Now at home and preparing to return to their occupations, Mr. Nelson is an employee of the Murray City water department, while Mr. Plott is associated with the D&RGW railroad at Roper yards. las' mother, Mrs. Mary A.
