Around 75 million people put their money on the line last year for the privelege of gandering a softball game over their popcorn bags. That's a lot of citizens . , and a lot of popcorn. It seems that almost every town with more than 19 people has a softball league. (That extra character is the umpire, who is paid off in refunds on the pop bottles that he collects).
