We have been informed by half a dozen people that Murray City can do nothing whatever to get these lights. We are told that the state highway . patrol alone can do anything. The state has gone on record as saying that it does not believe traffic lights at these intersections would help to control traffic at all. We are plenty tired of accepting decisions by state officials as final. The bop up there in the capitol building are often not on conditions in every section. To observe traffic on State Street at any time of well-inform- ed the day and then remember that the state has decided we .do not need more control seems to us an arbitrary and capricious, as well as a negative, decision. We need traffic lights at these points. Anyone who will take the trouble to look facts in the face must come to this conclusion and no amount of thinking on the can change the part of the , experts situation nor repair the damaee done by accidents. Serious accidents which have happened and are bound to happen again, should be a forceful argument for traffic lights at 45th South and Vine Streets. ; Self-Criticis- so-cal- led Is A Good Sinn m We have been assailed recently with the question Whats. wrong with Murray?"
