In the state contest held at the Liberty Park, Goff Berger won the first prize trophy in the class B series, with Bruce Walters being the runner up for first place in the class A. "We hope next year to increase our membership in the horseshoe pitching club. The class is restricted to adults, other arrangements are being made for the instruction of children. Doctrines like the following will be discussed in an informal manner: the origin and inspiration of the Bible; the Ten Commandments ; the person and work of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; the Christian Church; the resurrection; the life everlasting; the Lord's Prayer; Holy Baptism; and the Lord's Supper.
