E. Martin of the United States Navy at the Salt Lake county fire hall for three days, September 4, 5 and 6, from the hours of 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. for the purpose of giving information regarding the service in the Navy. Many persons having relatives in the Navy or relatives who may be interested can find out all the facts at the above time. B. M. Martin will be glad, to furnish any data that persons desire regarding the United States Navy and as there are many people who have never been to sea they can learn a lot by dropping around and asking question. The Navy offers enlistment opportunities for men, ages 17 to without depen31, preferably dents and of course with good characters and fine health. TAYLORSVILLE PIONEER CELEBRATES 88th BIRTHDAY Mrs. Eliza Ann Bennion, pioneer of Taylorsville, will celebrate her 88th birthday anniversary on Sunday, August 24, when her family will entertain in her honor with a reception at her home, 1346 West 48th South. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2 to 5 p.m. Mrs. Bennion was born in Taylorsville on August 25, 1853, and has lived there the greater portion of her life, having lived five years in Vernal, Tooele county, and ten years in Salt Lake City, where her husband, Hyrum Bennion. pioneer of '47, died in 1926. Both Mrs. Bennion and her husband were staunch church workers and were identified with all projects for the development of the community. Mrs. Bennion has lived to see every house in Taylorsville built and trees and shrubs that have been planted grow to development, making of that community a beauty spot. She still maintains and beautifies her own home and its surroundings. The house was built by Mr. Bennion in 1875 and is a credit to the community. This is 37 cases mere than were reported for the week ending August 8 and 20 cases fewer than were reported for the corresponding week in 1940. Twelve of the twenty-nincounties in the State reported "no disease." Three cases of infantile paralysis were reported; one case n Salt Lake City. They expect to return to Murray on September 13. Vacation days will take them to their homes in North Dakota. The parents of Mrs. Schuldheiss live at Monango and the pastor's folks at Kulm, N. D. A family reunion will be held on September 7. During the pastor's absence, there will be no services here in Murray. On August 31 and September 7, members of the local church are invited to attend the services of St. John's Lutheran Church, 1030 South 5th East, in Salt Lake City.
