Brnnion Ward A group of approximately 40 Priesthood boys will leave Monday for Yellowstone to be gone for the week. They will be accompanied by Bishop Henry Bringhurst, Leo Player and Al- bert Steadman, counselors; Stern Wood and Lawrence Blaker, supervisors of the Lesser Priest- hood. They were accompanied by Cloyd Brown and Ashby Spencer. pricjay SPECIAL 17414 GRANDADDY DufTin i TOWN AND Funeral services for Fred Lindbeck, former third precinct justice of the peace, who died last Friday in a Salt Lake hospital, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Millcroek L. D. S. ward chapel, Bishop Sharp Walters of the Valley Center ward officiating. Burial was made in Wasatch Lawn memorial park. Speakers for the services were B. K. Farnsworth, George A. Faust and Bishop Walters. Musical numbers included a song, "Shall We Meet Beyond the River," Cyrus S. Walters, A. L. Burbidge, Bruce Walters and Ferry Walters; "Face to Face," solo by Fred Reese; "Sleep, Soldier Boy, Sleep," solo, Augustus Faust, and "Going .Home, solo Invoby Mrs. Vein Bloomquist. cation was said by D. A. Newman and benediction was proriounced by Vern Bloomquist. Dedication of the grave was made by Alma Crane and members of the American Legion conducted a ceremony at the graveside. Mr.Lindbeck was a well known mining man and sportsman. He was born in Raneo, Sweden, April 27, 1893, a son of Johanas and Anna Magdaline Lindbeck, and came to Salt Lake City at the age of 16. On April 18, 1921, he married Violet Mildred Law-son. served for 13 months in the World war and was seriously wounded. He held a special award of honor from President Wood row Wilson and a medal of honor of the purple heart. He was prominent in politics, the American Legion, Forty and Eight, Disable American Veterans of the World war, Utah State Peace Officers' association. Mr. Lindbeck was called "mayor" of Fish lake and served as president of the Fish Lake Cabin Owners' association. He was a renowned hunter and fisherman. In addition to his widow, he is survived by two daughters, Margaret Helen and Thelma. and a son, Fred L. Lindbeck. all of Murray; five sisters, Mrs. Ida C. Hellstrom and Mrs. Mabelna Reese. Salt Lake City : Mrs. Veda A. Erikson, South Salt Lake; Mrs. Leina Sandstrom.
