Mr. Jones was born in Porlock, England, September 8, 1852, a son of James and Ann Brooks Jones. He came to Salt Lake in 1882 and for 27 years was engaged as a smelter worker. He retired in 1917. His wife, Mary J. Evans Jones, died a year ago. Surviving are six sons, Lynn, Vern, Owen, Cecil, Eugene and E. F. Jones; a daughter, Mrs. W. B.
