MURRAY I'WA TROJECTS ONCE ST.ART AT Work will begin at once on several Murray WPA projects, according to Commissioner J. Clifford Hansen, who has been very active in securing government approval of these projects. Development work at McGhie Springs forms one project which includes a Federal expenditure for labor of $1,523.00 and expenditures by Murray of $396.50 for materials. Fourteen men will be employed on this work for 60 days. The WPA project at the Murray Library calls for cleaning, rebinding, and a general modernizing of the library throughout. This project will employ four women for one year. Federal funds alloted for labor tolal $3120 and Murray will expend $100 for materials. Five thousand concrete blocks are to be cast for use in the cemetery. These blocks will cany numbers impressed in the top of each, and are to be placed at the lot coiners. All old markers will be relocated and one acre of old sod will be removed and the lawn rcsoeded. Government aid in this project will be $2,204.50, and Murray City will furnish $181.10 in materials. Twelve men will be employed 90 days in this work. Six more projects are expected to be available at completion i f the above improvements.
