Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moir and children and Hipa Neria were on vacation in Portland, Ore. Hipa, of Samoa, has been living with the Moirs while attending Milford High School. He is now employed in Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Bauer and family of Spanish Fork were recent guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Hardy. Mrs. Ron Banks of Las Vegas spent Monday and Tuesday with her husband's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Banks. Mrs. Edyth Grimshaw has returned from the northern part of the state where she visited her children. Mrs. Susan Glenn is in Portland, Oregon, visiting her son Charles and family. Loosle, elementary school principal, is attending the U S U in Logan, working toward his Master's degree. Mr. and Mrs. Gary V. Winkel are living in the home formerly owned by D. A. Mr. Limb, who is in the U S Navy, came to visit relatives prior to leaving for 11 months service in Alaska. Smith of Price paid a short visit to Mrs. Irene Thurston Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rick-erso- n received word that Mrs. Clara Vasceleu had passed away in Los Angeles Tuesday. Mrs. Vasceleu was a daughter of Mrs. Mattie Ferguson. On May 6 the temperature dropped to 15. This, we believe, froze out an early spring teeding of crested and Siberian wheatgrass on the east side of the Beaver Cemetery. From May 2 to 13 the temperature dropped below freezing every night. The average daily minimum for the month of May was 33. The May precipitation at Beaver was 1.98 inches, compared to 1.91 inches last year 0 and a average of 1.91 inches. The Minersville Watershed Work Plan has now been approved. Office space for a survey crew is tentatively lined City up in the Minersville Hall. Dwight Miller, SCS engineer at Fillmore, has been assigned as project engineer.
