The Hill Strikers soccer club beat The Oaks last Saturday to gain the first place position in the league, and its third straight win. The game remained scoreless for the first half with Hill's goalie, Will Mejia, blocking a shot near the end of the first half. "For the second week in a row, Hill went into the second half tied, and for the second week in a row, the Strikers played a notch above the opponents," Coach Ray Uris said. The Strikers took the lead on a penalty shot made by halfback Tony Perretta, who played the ball to the lower right side of the goal. The Oaks refused to give up, and within a minute of the kickoff had tied the score again. But that was just the beginning for the Strikers. Perretta came back again when Striker Curt Sie-goutmaneuvered the Oak defense and missed the shot which rebounded and was knocked in by no-ta- non-sanction- n Weigh! lifting clinic changes dates The date of the weightlifting seminar with Air Force power lifter and body builder Ray Long has been changed from May 4 to May 11. The seminar will be held in the Hess Fitness Center, Bldg. 520, at 10 a.m. The seminar is open to men and women. Long will teach participants how to start a weightlifting program and about nutrition. Preregistration is $2, and same-da- y registration is $3. Family members are not eligible. Events include racquetball, men's and women's biking, 5K run, swimming and golf. Time trials for the biking are Wednesday at 4:30 p.m., and the racquetball trials are Thursday at 5 p.m. Other trials and game times are not yet available.
