Show Wednesday, 20. May 1998 The Daily Utah Chronicle 13 Bulls Take 2-- 0 - Michael CHICAGO (AP) Jordan showed what being the is all about. In another dazzling display of what makes him the greatest player in the game, Jordan did it all for the Bulls on Tuesday night, scoring 41 MVP points and making several huge plays down the stretch as Chicago for a defeated Indiana 104-9lead in the Eastern Conference 2-- 8 0 finals. Series Lead and from the line with five assists, four of Chicago's 15 steals and four rebounds. But more than any stat line could show, Jordan took the life out of the Pacers every time they tried to make a move. No plays were bigger than the two Jordan made in the final two minutes. After Indiana scored four points in less than 10 seconds to pull to Jordan drove to his right, slipped and fell, got back up -maintaining his dribble all the while and then sliced through three defenders for a runner that bounced in. Rik Smits missed a shot for Indiana, and Jordan tipped the rebound to Luc Longley. He got the ball back and was isolated against Reggie Miller and drove to his right. It seemed like everyone in the United Center knew what was coming, yet no one could do anything about it. Like he has done thousands of times, Jordan stopped at the baseline, turned, squared his body and hit a fallaway. Game over. j Playoffs Saturday, May 16 Utah Jazz 112, LA. lakers 77 Utah 99, LA. I've thought about this, and come to a conclusion. How about a death match? The candidates will get into a ring and fight. The one left standing will be declared the ASUU president. It sounds ridiculous, doesn't it? But at least we won't have to listen to the loser whine afterward, because he'll be dead. Obviously an election doesn't work, so we have to come up with an alternative way to select a candidate. The most ridiculous thing about the whole ordeal is the fact that the ASUU Supreme Court is even accepting such a complaint. The whole basis for an election is to ensure that the person students feel most comfortable leading them wins. We each pay thousands of dollars a year to attend school here, so shouldn't we have a say in at least a little bit of what goes on here? All I can say to the individuals trying to oust Dubitsky is this: Get on with your lives. Not everybody can win. Just accept the fact you lost and go away.
