The Utes will play Idaho State tonight at 5 p.m., then host WAC rival BYU on Friday beginning at 6 p.m. v. t "J v v.. .... The Utes are currently 1 - &D 3 2-- 2 overall, after falling twice on the road to Arizona and Arizona State. The Utes have played only one WAC match, as they defeated UTEP, also on the road, by an 1 margin. 8-- Head coach F.D. Robbins is expecting good matches on both Wednesday and Friday and is not LFL7 taking Idaho State or BYU lightly. Also offered through the outdoor program is a complete outdoor equipment rental facility, a resource and information center and lots of advice if you want to plan your own adventure.. Some of the wide variety of equipment available for renting include tents, backpacks, a camp stove, rock climbing shoes, a mountain bike and helmet, cross country skis, a telemark package, ski poles and a, large assortment of water sports equipment including rafts, canoes and kayaks. Equipment may be reserved beginning Monday of the week of check-ou- t by paying the full rental fee. The renter's current University ID card must be presented at the time the reservations are made. ' Reservations are possible for two days or longer and boat reservations for the river running season may be made beginning the first day of two-pers- on classes Spring quarter. Any equipment returned soiled or damaged will be assessed a cleandamage fee and equipment returned late will be charged a $2 late fee. Feb. 20 is the day for the free introduction to cross country skiing and the Outdoor Recreation and Rental Program Office will provide the equipment and basic instruction on touring techniques to get started. The event is scheduled for the University Golf Course from noon to 2 p.m. Sign up early so equipment can be reserved in your size. Activities are available to students with a current University ID card or facultystaffalumnispouse with a campus recreation membership card. Faculty and staff without a campus recreation card will be required to pay a small fee. 8 Feb. are the dates for the Yurt Based weekend ski trip and cozy accommodations and beautiful 26-2- surroundings await people with strong backcountry skills.
