He will appear in concert in Abravanel Hall Oct. 15 and 16. The concert could be considering coming home for Brickman, who presented his first performance four years ago, at the same Salt Lake location. "Abravanel is one of the places I love the most," he told New Utah! In his four-yemusical career, he has achieved more success than he ever anticipated. For example, he has been named Songwriter of the Year and Publisher, of the Year. "Destiny is the title of his latest release, which focuses on "the spirit of destiny in every person's life," he said. "It is the belief that certain things happen in our lives for a reason. Or that certain people enter our lives, seemingly accidently, but for an important purpose." His own story has followed the influence of destiny. not as a child He began prodigy, not in a family with but great musical inclination just as an ordinary individual. "Essentially, I'm just a guy and a piano," he said. In his concerts, he portrays a sense of humor along with his piano artistry. "It is down to earth; I am like your next door neighbor. I like to make people feel more at ease." Brickman feels one of the highest compliments someone can pay him is to say his music has made a difference in their life. "To have someone say 'You have comforted me with your music,' 'I connect with the emotion and it soothes me,' or 'It makes me happy,' are good fit&& TheArk This musical production by Michael and Kevin Kelly begins at 7:30 each Friday, Saturday and Monday McLean p.m. through Oct. 30.
